Diwali burst!

on Friday, October 20, 2006

As I write this I could hear the noise of bursting crackers. Well mood is upbeat and everywhere you can spot mad rush. Lights and lamps are slowly making up the darkness. It is time to meet your close ones and share love and joy.
Diwali has been the king of festivals over the years in major part of the country but certainly the means and modes of celebrations have changed a lot over this time. With purchase power in hand, people have been spending more and more fuelled by attractive offers to celebrate the mood of the festival. But a big part of india are still continuing with the traditional celebrations. This has resulted in a big divide and poses a big question as whether the have ones should indulge in excessive spending or not. Do festivals have boundaries on the way they are celebrated?
